RISTORANTE LA TAVERNETTA

La Tavernetta was a truly wonderful discovery, as I wanted to get away from the touristy spots after a day at the beach. It's a 25-minute drive from the famous Michelino Beach in Parghelia, for example. I tried the fileja alla spilingese, tasty and not too spicy. The fileja with beechnuts and sausage was delicious. The beans were good, but the sausage was less flavorful. The pasta was fresh and truly delicious. The price was €7 per dish. Being used to Milan, I have nothing to add. I'd also like to praise the bread used for mopping up the pasta: it was crunchy and flavorful. With the coffee, they also brought us bitters and pieces of cake (these are questionable). For two, we spent €18 with the 20% discount from TheFork. What should I say? Go, go, go. I'll be back to try the meat, too, and many other things that preserve the beautiful and healthy side of Calabria.

Great place and delicious food, from the appetizers to the fresh, typical Calabrian pasta dishes to the excellent grilled meats. And to finish, they offered us two homemade liqueurs and a sampling of homemade desserts.

We went to this restaurant on a friend's recommendation. We were very pleased with both the quality and quantity. The menu is varied, with local specialties. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The owner is friendly with his customers. Excellent value for money. We will be back soon. Recommended.

Dinner on the veranda, wearing a sweatshirt given the cool climate—we're 700 meters above sea level. The welcome and service were top-notch. The mixed antipasto was a must, excellent. The first courses were good (the pasta was homemade). We tried ravioli filled with nduja and pecorino cheese, which had a strong flavor, and fileja with beans and sausage, with a hint of nduja. For our main course, we had a scottona rib-eye steak (400-500 grams), which was equally delicious. The house rosé wine was good. At the end of the meal, they offered us dry pastries and licorice and chocolate liqueurs. Very good value for money. There are a few uphill curves to get there, but it's worth it. Recommended.

We had dinner at this restaurant and returned last night! Excellent and varied "meat-based" food, courteous and helpful service. The manager, Mr. Gennaro, is a wonderful person! We went to this place on the advice of some friends who had already been there and were enthusiastic about the genuine food with typical local products. in fact, they did not disappoint, we found ourselves literally attacked by a myriad of courses of typical local products, with their typical appetizer... The wine was delicious... The first courses were exceptional... The steak with porcini mushrooms was a little tough but very good... We recommend tasting the potatoes. For €33, we got a starter that was almost enough for two people, and two delicious pasta dishes, including water and wine, for €33.50. Really delicious food!

If you want good, home-cooked, and hearty food, you can't miss La Taveretta. It's highly recommended! Here you'll find authentic local cuisine at very reasonable prices, a true trattoria. The staff is friendly and always available. It's a simple restaurant that feels like home. We had an appetizer that included several tastings (I was already almost full by then), fileja al ragù, grilled meat, and for dessert, Kinder Bueno truffle (delicious!!) and strawberry granita (divine!!!). If you're near Tropea, you can't miss it!

Come on an empty stomach because the food here is plentiful. The portions are generous, and ordering for one person practically feeds two. I recommend the traditional antipasto, which features many typical dishes. The handmade fileja is spectacular. If you want to learn about local food culture, this is the ideal place. The price is truly reasonable.
